A Day of Two Halves

It was a pleasant morning, so after I’d checked my moth trap (1 visitor), had breakfast and done my bird count, I sat on the veranda and watched the comings and goings in the garden for a little while. A Coal Tit made several visits to the feeder, collecting sunflower seeds, I suspect for caching as September draws to a close. A Red Admiral fed from the late-flowering Sedum and a Grey Squirrel, unaware of my presence, pootled about on the patio for a little while. A Robin arrived and posed obligingly on the patio chair. After that, I went indoors and did a little more UKFD prep.. whilst the weather turned unpleasant. Just dotting the i’s and  crossing the t’s, as most of the work is now done.
