Record heat was a killer

Succulents, including cactus, can die even in their natural habit of the Sonoran desert. Record heat and high winds all year took its toll. The tree isn’t dead but will take a lot of work to salvage as it leans over the wall into my neighbor’s backyard. It’s windy again today but the temps are beginning to moderate. Today’s high will be 91°/33°.

In other news… today is the last official day of the monsoon.
