Sunny start ..
to our Saturday morning walk.
We planned to walk this morning and I took this shot of the front garden as we passed. The grass is newly cut and it shows off both the Sedum in the border in the background and thus pretty Cape Fuchsia flowering with the Celebration rose in the centre bed.
I tried to get a shot of the Sedum yesterday for Flower Friday as it was positively glowing in the sun. That was part of the problem, my shadow getting in the way. It’s certainly at its best at the moment.
Once into the woods of St Ives the sun became rather milky
through increasing clouds but it was remained warm and dry with no wind. Chris hasn’t walked in the estate since the tree felling finished so he was interested to see how it was left. Quite a lot of debris left and temporary tracks not removed in places. The re sprouting rhododendrons seem to have been sprayed.
Further up the track we bumped into the couple we visited yesterday in Bingley. They were walking in a roundabout way back to Cullingworth ( where they used to live) to the butchers. They were chatting to someone else we know with her dog. When they departed we continued walking with K and Hubble, until we reached The Ivy Kitchen where we stopped for a coffee. Nice to have a catch up chat.
Back home by 11.00, a good start to the day. Now it’s raining steadily so we certainly had the best of it!
