If you've got an itch, you've got to scratch it.
There was a pair of Paradise ducks by the creek today. This one had an itch and was having a great time scratching himself.
We are dog sitting for a week for some friends and Rocky, their old dog (not sure what breed he is). He had broken his collar during the night and met us at the door this morning. The pups had been barking in the early hours of the morning, but nothing else was moving around when I went out with the torch about 4.00am.
He's tied up now (we still had our old Bull Terrier's collar) and he is not happy. Hopefully, he will shut up soon.
Took all 3 of them for a walk. We always walk them past the neighbors places before letting them off. First thing the Gypsy & Poppy did when I let them off, was to ran after a rabbit, and then wouldn't come back. I headed back towards home with Rocky, the Juli turned up with Poppy in the car. As we were talking, Gypsy came along the road. Both back onto their lead, so off we set again. Keep them on the lead for the next 30 minutes of walking, finally letting them off for a run. Shortly after that, they were off up into the bush, and both them suffered from their "Painted on ears" syndrome. When they came back, it was onto the lead again, all the way home. Not an enjoyable walk today, hopefully better tomorrow.
Just after PJ got home later this afternoon, they went off up the back. Next thing is, there is a lot of barking & yelping. PJ took the rifle, and shot the first possum that they had bailed up into a tree.
So my hope of a nice peaceful walk tomorrow, might be put to the test.
