Super windy
We followed updates on the All Blacks versus Italy match in Lyon this morning and were rather relieved at the final score of 96-17 to the All Blacks. Hopefully they’ve got their mojo back. Afterwards we decided to brave the wind and go for a walk. I wanted to buy another test pot to finish painting the sideboard and we needed to buy a toilet with a separate cistern for the garden loo. We went to Resene first, picked up the test pot I needed and also bought two other test pots to choose a colour with which to paint the back door. That done, we went to Mitre10 and found the toilet and cistern we needed. They put them aside for us and MrMacD drove down later to pick up the items. Meanwhile I put the additional coat of paint on the three areas I felt needed it, then decided no more painting was required. Tomorrow we’ll assemble the sideboard, put the handles back on and make a few embellishments. When the paint has hardened properly the last step will be to spray on a coat of varnish. MrMacD installed a new light fitting in the garden loo and we decided I’ll paint the area before the toilet and wash basin are installed. I’ll probably do the laundry as well, so the next piece of upcycling will have to wait for a while.
We walked past the Garden of Memories on our way home so a photo was taken. Then as we sat in the lounge after supper the moon appeared and I couldn’t resist another photo.
