Data center, revisited
A large percentage of the world's web traffic runs through the nearly 300 data centers in Northern Virginia. A whole bunch of those are located in Ashburn, and it's kind of surreal to drive along that corridor, especially at night. All those ginormous long, flat buildings humming away. I snapped this at a red light on my way home tonight. It's the only one I've noticed lit up at night. No sign of the big white ball, though.
