Clapper Rail Family

This Clapper Rail entertained me for quite a while this evening. After taking several shots of her, I noticed some movement in the reeds. Turned out this rail was momma to three fluffy chicks. They wouldn't pose together for a picture, so here is my best shot of one of the Clapper Rail chick and the clapper rail. The chicks still had their downy feathers and could not fly.
