Bee on bramble

Walking today I was surprised to see brambles still in flower, budding blackberries and bees out in the sunshine, on a late September afternoon.

Started the day with supermarket shopping and haircut then home to write some birthday cards to post. The outside painting of the cottage is finished and new guttering installed which we are really pleased with. It will be so nice to have the scaffolding removed - maybe next week fingers crossed.
