Brollies

After a couple of showery days in Sarlat at the start of the holiday, the weather improved significantly with blue skies and increasingly warmer temperatures as the week went on. Our own umbrellas were now no longer required, but we came across these artistic ones in Cahors as we did our transfer from Sarlat to Carcassonne, our base for the last three days of our trip.

Monday was a quiet day in town, with quite a few of the shops, restaurants and tourist attractions closed while we were there (had they heard we were coming, perhaps?) but it was only a stopover and we all managed to find somewhere to eat and have a browse before continuing our journey.
