Off the wall

When I work late at this time of year, there comes a point in the early evening when the sinking sun begins to slant through the windows at a certain angle and I see these gleaming curlicues cast into the office wall behind me. They flicker like sleepy fireflies for ten minutes or so and they are usually a good sign that....it's time to go home !
