Visitor

This Eastern Blue Tongue Lizard is native to Australia and appeared in my backyard this afternoon. The hot days will bring  them out in the open more often for food. This lizard is much larger than the ones I photographed last summer. I was hoping to capture its blue tongue but it decided to be motionless. I left it in peace for less than a minute to get something and when I returned it had gone. I am pleased the dogs were inside.
