The Olney pancake race

I went over to Olney to see my Mum today. The town sign shows the famous pancake race, as well as the church. It also commemorates William Cowper, who moved to the town in the late 18th century. He and the evangelical clergyman John Newton wrote the Olney hymns, the most famous of which is (John Newton's)"Amazing Grace".

Had tea and cake with RosInAus on my way home - always good to meet up.
