I'm finding myself full of anger and sadness at the moment!

Every day we hear on the news of pointless acts of violence, mental cruelty and destruction.

Why would a child want to kill another child?
Why would influential media presenters utter nasty comments about other human beings?
Why would a 16-year-old get access to a chainsaw and fell an iconic tree that gives so many people enjoyment, especially photographers like us?

Come on world : BE NICE!

I always wanted to go and take a shot at Sycamore Gap. Another blipper challenged me, many years ago, to get it at night with star trails. I never did.

In other news, our village Social Club made a trip over the border to Dumfries House. It's known for the work done in connection with The Prince's foundation, set up by the king, and also its unrivaled collection of Chippendale furniture.

We decided not to go into the house this time but to enjoy the afternoon in the gardens which are free to visit.
