Jabs, The Tree and The Allotment

Our flu and covid vaccination campaign appears to have got off to a fabulous start. Our jabbing fingers were on fire today.

Myself and many have been shocked and angered regarding the needless and malicious felling of the iconic Sycamore tree on the Roman Wall. It meant a lot to many, I’ve learned today that people have had their ashes scattered there, there have been marriage proposals, books and poems written, paintings painted, drawings drawn and of course many beautiful photographs taken. I hope the concerned has to plant 10,000 trees. I thought of a much worse punishment but it wouldn’t be right to put it on blip!

Some good allotment news, the land owners have asked for £10000 for the whole land with the 44 allotments on. The allotmentees have some money in the pot and will ask for more from the Parish Council, possible Lottery and crowd funding - phew.
