Yep, its the sand spit again.

Met with two American couples on the beach. From Seattle and South Carolina. They are doing the whole of the John Muir Way. Turns out they are fans of the time travelling TV series Outlander. There are many locations around here that were filmed. Culross, Midhope Castle, Blackness Castle and Linlithgow Palace and Hopetoun House itself. They thought I was very knowledgeable but by co-incidence I had watched a you tube video last night on the very subject. They made a grand fuss of the dog.
