Decision time!

After another day of house hunting we finally made a decision! It came down to three properties in the end - a wonderful cottage which was a listed building in a semi rural location only 1 mile from the sea. It was beautiful, and we would have had famous neighbours with Simon Cowell's mum living round the corner, and Steve Coogan across the road.

The downside was that it was too small and there was no garage or storage space for our furniture. The upside was the location!

Then we had the property that was being renovated - lovely 3 bedroomed house with a conservatory, again only 1 mile from the sea, but a bit further out of Brighton and not particularly in an area we wanted to live.

But in the end we chose a two bedroomed detached house in the area we wanted, and although smaller than we'd hoped it has a garage so we've got storage space - it's within walking distance of dog friendly beaches for Louis, the South Downs for walks, and also close to dog friendly bars and cafes. We can even walk or cycle into Brighton, so although we've compromised on space it's the perfect location!

The garden has palm trees and even a banana tree, and is south facing! So we've signed up for it and have come away very happy having had a successful weekend.

Afterwards we had to go into Brighton as Alan had a meeting at the office to finalise a few things, so while he was there I went for a wander with my camera. This photo is taken in Kemptown, and I love the statue with the colourful houses either side and the sea in the distance.

Anyway, it's almost midnight and we're home - relaxing with a glass of wine before heading to bed. So I'll say goodnight and catch up with you tomorrow x

Thanks for all your comments, stars and heart's on yesterday's unplanned blip - it hit the spotlight and is still there, which is amazing for an accidental shot!
