Spider Lilies…..

Today we visited Okunoshima known as Rabbit Island. It was used to manufacture poison gas.

There is a variety of speculations on why several hundred rabbits now occupy the island including the possibility that they were used in research.

There are also a variety of derelict buildings around including a austere ex power station building whose greyness was relieved by this wonderful colourful patch of flowers.
