Spring Weather

Spring is so changeable!

Frida and I walked at Penrith this morning before I met with my coffee group. We saw these wonderful clouds- which I think are Cirrus Fibratus.

After lunch, I went to U3A for 2 excellent talks. One on backyard trapping in Wānaka. They are doing a wonderful job catching pests - and the increased bird life is a testament to their hard work. 

The other speaker was the CEO of Winter Games NZ - and the Chef de Mission for the NZ team at Beijing Winter Olympics in 2022. What interesting stories he had to tell.

When we went in, the sun was shining- when we came out there was a sudden, very violent storm with hail - it was challenging driving home.
Jill and Frida went for a walk- and we all arrived home like drowned rats!

One hour later, the sun is out, it’s calm and we are dry and cosy by the fire!

Spring…you have a lot to answer for!!
