House of Congress

Today we visited the Lincoln Memorial, the Washington Monument and then to the House of Congress. We had a tour of the house, and then got passes to go to the public galleries. We spent time listening to a Senate debate brought by the Senator from Alaska, Mr Sullivan and conspinsored by the Senator for Texas, Mr Cruz, on establishing military wages as essential in the event of a shutdown. It didn’t pass. We then went to watch some votes in the House of Representatives.
