Just flexing my wings
For the first time in many weeks the swans were just approaching the grassy bank when I arrived at the Heritage Park Loch this morning. Two adults and seven large cygnets take up quite a bit of space on the grassy area.
Much preening and tweaking of feathers and then the rather dramatic stretching of wings .... cygnets not quite ready for their inaugural flight form one end of the loch to the other.
The Watersports Centre is now closed for the season and the final task was to clean the safety boats before storing them in the sheds until next year.
