Henry House

It was a dismal day to visit Manassas National Battlefield
This is the Henry House which was unfortunately situated in the very center of the battle. Poor 85-year-old Mrs. Henry, who was bedridden in the house, was killed by the artillery shelling. Her grave is in the front yard of the house (extra.)
It was a sobering walk through the battlefield.
It is interesting that the Manassas National Battlefield is not named Bull Run National Battlefield. The Confederates called it Manassas, but the Union called it the Battle of Bull Run.
