The Grotto

We took Stan to the Newt quite early as P had work later . 
It was a long time since Stan had been so there were lots of new things for him to see . He was very taken with the Grotto and its amazing shell inlays .

We had soup in the Story of Gardening Cafe then walked to the new gardens where we had a long chat with the Head Apple man there who is married to the estate’s bee expert . He oversees not only the apples but the production of first class cyder there ( The Newt spells it this way ! ) .
