Limestone Country

Our walk took us to the south of Arbois - through vineyards, up through forests, along clifftops, through mediaeval ruins, then down into the narrow, steep-sided valley where the River Cuisance emerges from the cliffs and produces tufa barriers & waterfalls as the salts precipitate out as it makes its way down the valley. The main Blip shows the local tourist attraction, the tufa waterfall - not as much water as during some parts of the year, but impressive all the same. The extra shows some of the tufa barriers further upstream. (Posted a day late as I hadn't finished processing my photos last evening)
