Eye of the herring gull.
Doesn't have quite the same ring as eye of the tiger, although they are one of few birds that have eyes capable of rotating in their sockets.
With a typical lifespan of 12-20 years, these gulls will mate for life, although often 'divorce' if they cannot produce a brood. After separating, and for about three breeding seasons, they usually find it difficult to find a new mate. This would explain all the singles bars that they perch on.
