The last cut of 2023?

After an online chat with a couple of the Grasmere pals we set off to walk Flora. The forecast is for rain so, taking our chances, we headed to the Kings Knot so she could have a good run. There I saw a chap cutting the grass on this dinky stand on mower. I'm not sure that he was having much fun at work. For a small machine it made a lot of noise.

Had we not stopped for coffee in town we would have made it home in the dry. However that didn't work out so well. 

It's time to put away summer clothes I think. We'll get more nice weather but not linen top days.
