Joy!

...is taking an art class during the latter third of my life.  Much to learn, I know; still, a journey of a thousand miles works begins with a single step sketch.  

I want to draw trees, rivers, mountains and volcanoes, not still lifes (look it up; it's lifes not lives in this case).  Yet I know I must master the basics before I can move on. Jazz players must learn the scales before they can improvise.
