The sunflowers in our garden...

...have given me a lot of joy this summer...

Roy less so, as he experienced an allergic reaction when he tied them up as they got taller - the little fronds on the stems irritated his skin, and he's been wearing a long sleeved shirt in the garden ever since ;(

They have toppled over in the wind, but the flowers are still putting on a lovely final show - more blooming together than at any time so far!

Washing done and pegged out today, as the rest of the week is looking a tad damp... Roy is up on the garage roof repairing some roof tiles...
