Sutton Park National Nature reserve……
……this morning in the sunshine.
We went for a walk first thing, seeing several walking groups congregating near the Blackroot Bistro.
As we set off they were all still there.
The light through the trees was beautiful.
I took the photo as we passed by one of the boggy swampy areas in amongst the trees at that point.
The path was alongside and eventually went over a stream on a small bridge, where children like to play Pooh sticks. (Which is great fun for adults too! ;-) )
We hardly met a soul, so all the walkers must have either been already, or taken one of the many routes in the 2,400 acres which go to make up the parkland.
I love being amongst ancient towering trees.
Before we went out the washing was hung on the line, and a second lot done when we returned. I’m always pleased when the towels can be dried outside, especially the large bath towels.
Almost dried when we returned just before lunch.,
I haven’t decided yet what to do this afternoon now we’ve had our lunch.
Whatever it is I will certainly make the most of the sunshine!
