Lazy Day

It has been raining almost all day which has left me feeling very lazy. And since Jax despises the rain, he’s been lazy too. So it’s all worked out nicely!

The hummingbird is still hanging around the garden - I’m glad she found us so she can rest up and have a good feed before she continues her journey. I think the rain is around one more day and then a few clear days, ideal for travel if you’re a tiny little bird. I had hoped to get a few pics of her today but it was just to miserable out there. Maybe tomorrow.

Meanwhile in the garden, Miss Thing hasn’t moved since her Gentleman Caller left - being an insect, she isn’t active in cool, wet weather like this. And the bees and other pollinators are also not moving about much so there isn’t much for her to eat.

Had a nice long FT chat with mom and dad this morning. They both got their covid jabs yesterday with no ill effects other than sore arms.
