Majestic

After our glorious picnic yesterday, we stayed the night in a comfortable hotel in Shaftesbury. This morning we mooched around the pretty, quaint town (famous for its starring role in the Hovis advert last century) and then meandered through Dorset, Wiltshire and back to Hampshire. By early afternoon  the sun was shining so we stopped in the New Forest and had a walk amongst the magnificent trees. The autumn is a lovely time for a bit of forest bathing and we must make a return trip when the leaves have started to turn. It was a great weekend and I felt we did justice to the birthday celebrations.
