An Avid Lensman

'Hay! He's taking our Picture!'

"Neigh, he's not!"

Sorry for awful title and I can't imagine such a beautifully infested buttercup meadow making good quality hay, either! After yesterday's buttercup's garish colour fest and its popularity, thought I'd get a long shot and have the buttercups compressed by perspective to make them look more appealing.

I did say some while back that night-time long exposures would move over somewhat to local landscapes, when such looked beautiful enough. So, a simple but hopefully effective very English scene with the church that appeared in this 'Blue Hour' Blip when floodlit. The clock does not seem to move so if you're checking up on me, you'll be disappointed!

Lens was my standard long-range walkabout Nikkor 18-200mm lens at its longest. It performs OK rather than well and this required a bit of extra sharpening to give it more sparkle and detail. Look at in closer in LARGE

It was a nice walk that I had to wait til late afternoon to undertake, when the sun finally decided to show itself.

The weather is due to nosedive from tomorrow on, so if you have some sunshine, make the most of it. Make hay whilst the sun shines, as these lovely nags might neigh!
