Bursting Open

Milkweed seed pods bursting open to reveal their seeds which will shortly launch in their thousands to begin a new cycle.

I guess I liked the textures and patterns and looked for an overall arrangement that was pleasing.

Extra: Into Thin Air. A red-bellied woodpecker left its perch and launched itself like a skydiver before the parachute opens.
