Sculpture Park

We travelled home from Wales today and stopped off at a few places on the way.

First was a stop to have a proper look around Stokesay Castle, and we also stopped here for lunch.

From there we drove through to the Shropshire Sculpture Park at the British Ironwork Centre.  We didn't know anything about this, but spotted the turn off (and some very large sculptures) on the drive down to wales.  We were there for about an hour and half, but barely scratched the surface of what was available here.  See https://www.britishironworkcentre.co.uk/ for more details.

The main blip is off a bee sculpture, made from guns and knives handed in to Manchester Police during an amnesty.

The first extra I found in the middle stall of the gents in the cafe!  The other two extras show other sculptures around the park.  There were hundreds of others!

We then drove through to Manchester to meet up with one of Sharon's colleages before taking the M62 back home via a service station for a take away.  It was a good day.
