Trasiegu

"TRASIEGU" translates as transfer, or racking. In Asturias, here in the Comarca de la Sidra, it is the name of the festival that marks the start of the apple harvest and thus the next stage in the cider-making cycle. Anyway, it´s taken over the village - there´s too much noise from the music for my comfort. This little bunch of rampaging musicians, who planted themselves outside the music area and in front of the two bars,  are exempt from that sort of criticism. I was listening to what sounded like an oompah-band trying to play La Bamba, when I caught the words "No woman no cry..."
