The Blue Race....

....that is what it was called, and Blur the Blue Tit was in the lead, ahead of 3 others, and behind them, 49 Blue Tits all apparently eager to get around the Tag course as soon as possible.

You had to touch a bird feeder with seed in it for you to 'Tag' the feeder, and both feet had to touch it, then it was onto the next. 

There were 40 on the course, and more than half of the Blue Tits usually didn't complete the course, as their were 'obstacles' along the way, like beer and sweet drinks to distract them.

Last year half of the competitors had to be sought out by the course administrators, to make sure they were OK, only to find them drunk in a bush, or had gone completely off-course but were still merry.

The Blur won, then was rewarded with a nice drink, and a year's supply of suet for his family :-)
