Jerk seasoning

We have spent most of the afternoon wrestling with Susie's new iPhone and getting it set up. Apple make beautiful stuff but the way they build in obsolescence is horrendous. Having bought Susie an Apple watch for her birthday we discovered it isn't compatible with her iPhone 8. The series 8 watch, which is compatible, was available last week but it has been withdrawn and no longer available. Now, we were probably going to change the phone in the next six months or so as the battery was going but our hand has been forced. I can't tell you how annoying this is. Apple should bring out new stuff but support their other phones for a lot longer.
