Syonara Japan
Today started with a tea ceremony. We had no idea we would be wearing kimonos. It was an interesting experience. Such a well fitted item and the core lifting corset thing placed under the obi corrected my posture.
I enjoyed hearing about the tea ceremony and loved that one of the main features is to concentrate and connect with the fact that this is one chance moment, never to be repeated, listen and savour the moment. I am taking this away with me.
The Japanese concentrate on one thing at a time, whether it is cleaning a cup or pouring water. Just focus on the sounds and smells of the moment. Lovely.
After the ceremony, feeling very Zen, we moved on to the local food market in complete contrast. Japan does everything in full on colour, red and green everywhere. Food and sweets come in all colours of the rainbow.
Tonight was a final group meal. It has been a good experience, no difficult members, and a very helpful tour leader.
We are packed up, but don't leave until 7 pm tomorrow when we head to Busan to see where my boy has been for the last 3 years. That is exciting.
