Strange sights

After leaving the hotel in Islington, we drove to the hotel we had booked opposite Hampton Court, the Mitre. It was a slow journey but we listened to a podcast on the way which made it bearable. We arrived at the hotel too early to check in so went for a walk along the river and then into the park behind Hampton Court Palace. We saw lots of deer and these parakeets - strange to see them just flying around free.
It started to rain so we went into the golf clubhouse for a drink and then headed back to the hotel.
We thought the hotel was lovely but the dinner we had there was disappointing and in fact I sent my meal back as it was grossly salty.
Hard to sleep due to the constant uncertainty about the move.
