A slice of Lesley's life

Thumbs up!

I spent the day learning. So that was pretty cool. And mainly with people who spend their days with undergrads which made my corporate guys seem like far and away the better deal. Not least because I don't have to get embroiled in the murky world of grading.

Spent the day in Paris. Which may sound cool but as it was in a windowless room in La Defense that bit wasn't especially cool. Still the Eurostar is nice and it could have been worse - I could have been in a windowless room in the middle of somewhere I haven't been and would love to explore. And Paris has the virtue of proximity and gaining an hour back when I travel home. Which is what I am going to do now.

This statue is outside CNIT. I was expecting to be blipping the grand Arche, especially as my hotel was on Avenue de l'Arche but apart from a brief glimpse from the taxi in the dark last night it has been hiding. So the thumb has it.

A bientot - or my favourite sign off from GCSE French, Amicalement - I don't really know what it means but I always liked saying it.
