Desert Squirrel

I think I really have turned comments back on this time! I have posted entries for all but one of the days I've been away, but they've been put up in batches, so if you are interested, it could be worth scrolling back a bit.

I'm on a storm-chasing photo tour at present, which started in Denver yesterday. No storms yet, but we had a good session at Sylvan Lake yesterday evening, when most of the fisherman etc had left. I didn't have my torch with me, so once it was dark enough for stars I had trouble with settings etc. However, I think I learnt enough from the very helpful other members of our small group to try another time. I really haven't tried star shots previously.

When I'm back camping again there are great opportunities of night-time photography. Trouble has been so far that it's been quite cold at night, we go to bed early, and I haven't felt like getting up again. The temperatures are definitely on the rise now, though.

After getting to our hotel after midnight, I was still awake at 5.30 am. The mornings are lovely, so I've been wandering around outside and buying a few nibbles for future late night sessions.
