Sick car

On the way home last night my car started making funny noises and I had difficulty changing gear. My guess was that my gear box was knackered! I got home driving in 2nd and 3rd gear. Having phoned local garages I had to use my AA membership as local garages couldn’t look at it for 4-5 weeks. So my car is in a garage about 50 minutes away and will hopefully be repaired early next week! That’s an additional expense we didn’t see coming! We can afford it but it did strike me something like this is what pushes many into debt.
I spent the afternoon with a friend chatting about this and that and this evening I got on top of my new knitting project.
