another colourful event!!!

After a good walk this morning, listening to Nick Wilton on a podcast, breakfast then meditation...i headed into the studio.   Getting ready to start another round of production, so i made the lists, worked out the dates etc., it's all doable before i head to Ontario to visit with Morgan and Owen!!!  So exciting.   Morgan is coming from Vancouver to Ont. for 3 weeks to see her friends and her family....Dad, aunt etc., and i couldn't let her be so close without visiting with her.  So mid October i'll head to Hamilton to spend 5-6 days with her, then 2 days with my dear friend Lynne in Toronto.

Then to play!   I rewatched a lovely video of one of my favourite artists, Emily Mason, who died a few years ago at the age of 84!   She had a way of layering her oil paints, veils of very thin paint.....which i've always loved.  So i did some experiments using fluid acrylic with medium added, which gives it a bit of shimmer and makes it more transparent.   I had fun, just seeing what happened when i put this colour over that one...etc.
