New Poncho

Just took it for a walk - it's wearable. An unspectacular colour, a simple beige and an unspectacular pattern. One big rectangle, twice as long as wide; knitted in one piece and in the end joined with an icord-stitch, leaving out the opening for the head. On one side an easy pattern-stripe.

It was more or less my holiday project. I was getting a little unpatient in the end, when making the fringes took me four evenings this week. It took a bath and was drying flat on a rack for two days and finally today it was ready to be worn.

It can be worn in two different ways, slightly diagonal or just straight with the longer ends on the side.
My first ever attempt in cable stitch, too.

The next project is already on the needles.
