Posing
This big old bumble bee was so busy on the zinnia that I could get really close and take a bunch of nice photos.
The quiche is made for tomorrow night. The house is clean, the farmhouse is clean, the yard is mowed....whew!
I have heard from Mom and they are safely in Portland at the hotel. She hasn't traveled in quite a while and was pretty nervous about the trip. She didn't want to travel alone and she convinced her friend Judy to come along. Judy is older than Mom, about 87 I believe, but is a great traveler. I don't think it required too much convincing. Mom says the trip went really smoothly. I am so relieved. Now they can have a nice evening.
I'm renting a car (I don't trust my old car to get there and back) and driving down to Portland tomorrow to get them. It's about 3 hours down. It will be a long day of driving but the weather is going to be nice.
I think we are going to luck out this next week with the weather..!
I had to include the extra of Daddy Cardinal feeding the youngster. I was able to sneak up to the door and take several photos through the window.
Choir was great last night. It was wonderful to sing with everyone.
