New school shoes

A week on crutches was not too kind to his new school shoes. Two weeks and a day and the soles were worn through to his socks.
Emergency evening trip to the stores. 

I took this pic in the store so he could choose from back home. Second thoughts, I abandoned that daft idea, bought both pairs and another and I returned home with 3 pairs to choose from. 
One pair was ideal, thankfully, and the others I will return.
Hopefully, the new ones will last a little longer.
