Pumpkins and Gourds As Far As The Eye Can See

I spent my early morning repairing the comforter that goes on one of the beds. Part of the edging frayed in the washer. That room is rarely used so the comforter is “new”. At least I have been able to fix it so far where you cannot tell it was damaged. Just very time consuming since it is all hand work. And I am not a seamstress by any stretch. Hubby cleaned the garage shelving: trying to find a tire pressure monitoring system he misplaced and the cupola for a birdhouse my sister is repairing/painting for me. No luck on either. After having to reschedule a few times, we finally got to our dental cleaning appointments. We went to lunch at a new donut shop and deli (our first choice cafe was closed). We shared a sandwich and should have shared the donut. I got strawberry covered chocolate; hubby’s was peanut butter cup covered chocolate. Everything was delicious and we helped a new local business. After that, we walked off some of the calories at the two Amish greenhouses we like the best. I purchased kale, lettuce, beet plants and 12 pansies. Hubby got granola for his yogurt. Picked up some butter crisp lettuce for my sister. I decided to refresh the beds for our German guests. Bought new pillows and hypoallergenic covers and mattress topper. Can’t wait to put those rooms back together on Friday. I was unable to find new bath rugs to match our color scheme. Will look on line for some. We are expecting a long rain storm starting this weekend so I want to get my flowers and vegetables planted tomorrow. Hope your day was as nice as ours. Stay safe. Thanks for visiting and leaving ‘gifts’. "We're not pumpkins. We're stunning autumn gourds." - Penny Reid
