Willamette Motor Club Autocross

An important box checked on my bucket list today.

I drove my very own "race" car in a sanctioned auto race.

OK so it was not a formula one car, not an Indy car, or a NASCAR.

No worries, my little old PT Cruiser scratched the itch nicely I must say.

With the expert coaching of a fellow who drives a 500hp Corvette around this racecourse, I was able to do a very credible job of piloting my grocery-getter.

Four runs with no penalties, each one felt better than the previous run.

Kathy captured me coming through the exit trap.

I can hardly wait until the "official" track times are posted on the Willamette Motor Club website later this week.
