Ivy Visitors 20

Top of the ivy league today, the central image, is a ladybird. I've chosen it because it's a splash of colour on a grey, blustery and rainy day. The bugs on the bush were few and far between and very difficult to capture because of the wind.

A pellucid fly was braving the weather together with a Mirid, the lovely Eupeodes luniger hoverfly, my old friend the box bug, a bumblebee, a soldier fly and a red admiral. The rain stopped late this afternoon and the honey bee got caught out as did I when it started again.
