Blue skies, mountain views

After yesterdays rain the weather forecast came good with a nice clear day. Still chilly to start and we soon found we had overdressed for our mountain walk. Layers were quickly peeled off and sun cream slapped on.
Found stunning mountain and glacier views across the valley, below the Grand Paradiso.
We chose a good circular route that took us up to 2500 metres - we both felt the hard work of dragging ourselves uphill at that altitude. And then there was the downwards bit - ouch.
Finished the day with a long long drive away from Aosta and the Alps to Lake Garda and the Dolomites.
