The woodland

The wind had dropped by the time I walked Indie this morning, so togged up in my wet weather gear we headed for the heath which is surrounded by mixed deciduous woodland. I often wonder what lives in here...
Arriving back at base with a very soggy dog, there was a lack of doggy towels. We found one but what has happened to the second. A mystery still unsolved when I left Mum.
I plated a meal for Mum last evening when I made our meal. Local butcher's pork sausages ( Mum's favourite) with cannelini beans, veggies, & white wine. Think cassoulet..... With homegrown French beans, & buttery mash. Mum did'nt look thrilled, but Indie was very keen to sample dinner.
